The End #156

As with all good things, I am sad to say that I’ll be slowing down my cadence of this newsletter. Over the past few months, I’ve started to realize that I enjoy going deeper on a few topics vs. writing about a broad range of topics every week.

I’ve gained a lot from writing this newsletter (and podcast) for the past three years (no breaks whatsoever). It has allowed me to build and maintain my connection with all of you as I transitioned from working at a couple of startups (GrowthGenius, Knowledgehook) to investing at Constellation Software.

It also tested my commitment to constantly identify new topics, do my research, and reflect/share my thoughts. I’d strongly recommend the practice of consuming information (whether that’s reading articles, watching videos or listening to podcasts), taking notes, and then, more importantly, sharing it with others online. You have no idea what type of doors may open as a result of you sharing your work online.

In terms of what’s next, I plan to continue sharing topics/posts periodically with the goal of going deeper on specific topics. I suspect this will be centered on investing in and operating businesses. Please continue to subscribe if you wish to read more of my content in the future.

Hope you all enjoyed the journey as much as I have!

As a point of reference, here are a few of my more popular/recognized posts for those who want to take a quick look:

Compounding #77
Compounding When I read Reddit threads on investing and Twitter, people largely talk about how they want to hold stocks for the long-term. Over time, the number of new positions that they start (often on a daily/weekly basis) suggests that it's highly unlikely that they're truly long-term investors…

The Cadence; Tech-Enabled Companies #95
While I don't necessarily pay attention to startups/high growth companies as much as I used to, it's been interesting to observe and learn from investors and founders of early-stage/high growth companies. David Sacks is one of the few that I follow very closely given all the work he has done in the payments (Paypal) and SaaS ecosystem (Yammer) as an ope…
